Everyone at Fred Theatre has been saddened to learn that distinguished author and script-writer, Rosemary Anne Sisson died peacefully at her London home on 28th July 2017, aged 93.
Last year we were delighted to put one of Rosemary’s superb plays, The Dark Horse, back on stage in its entirety. It was a pleasure and an honour to welcome Rosemary to the Shakespeare Institute for the performances, where she watched enthusiastically and gave us great encouragement.
Artistic director, Robert Ball, says: “Meeting and working with Rosemary was a highlight. I shall always remember our first meeting in London where she welcomed me into her home with enormous warmth, and the real sparkle in her eyes when we started discussing The Dark Horse.
“The last time I saw her was late last year when we caught up over lunch. It was always fun to be in her company and I know there’ll be very many people who will miss her.”
