As Josie Stevens, who is chair of the committee overseeing the fundraising and formation of the company recently said: “This is an excellent opportunity for Stratford to cement its reputation as ‘theatre town’, by supporting a great project that will show how theatre in action can provide wonderful opportunities for community, creativity and helping our more vulnerable neighbours.”

The company will be running a pilot project from the end of May through till its first sharing on Thursday, 18 July at the Bear Pit. What will be on show that night is a mystery, for now. “It’s the most difficult thing to talk about, the performance. I have literally no idea what it will be,” says Robert Ball who will be leading the group through to its first performance. “It has to be owned, suggested, created by the members of the company. Time will tell! And, the first thing the company will do is decide on its name.”
